The Khalili Foundation was proud to collaborate with the Commonwealth Secretariat for a groundbreaking International Youth Day event on August 12, 2024. This initiative, part of the ongoing Commonwealth Faith Festival, underscores our commitment to empowering youth and fostering peace through art, culture, and education.
Event Highlights:
Waqas Ahmed, Executive Director of the Khalili Foundation, emphasized the importance of youth-driven peace initiatives: “Over five decades of working in this area has convinced us that peace is best achieved when driven and sustained by the youth of any given society. We are proud to be supporting Youth Live in partnership with the Commonwealth.” Here is an excerpt of the live interview with him:
The Khalili Foundation’s involvement is the latest manifestation of its partnership with the Commonwealth since 2017 (Faith in the Commonwealth) which is set to continue until 2030.
Youth Live aligns perfectly with the Khalili Foundation’s mission to promote understanding and unity across diverse communities. We’re proud to have supported a platform for young voices and innovative ideas that can shape a more peaceful, inclusive future.
